We are hiring for the position of Medical Driver and Senior Center Driver with at least 3 years of experience.  The right person will be picking up elderly from their homes and driving them to medical appointments.  They will drive clients to our Senior Center as well as to the grocery store, the post office, the bank, pick up prescription, etc.  This person will also have to complete daily and monthly paperwork and reports.  Must maintain vehicle maintenance and forms. Must be punctual and on time and able to work with the elderly from ages 60 and up.  Must also know how to operate a wheelchair van and be able to strap them in properly. The right person will have a High School diploma or GED, a Class D Chauffeur’s License or CDL.  Must have a clean driving record and show proof of car insurance and be able to pass a physical examination and a drug screening.

Outreach Coordinator

We are looking for a person who has a Bachelor's in Social Work or Master's in Social Work or comparable (no license required) to primarily conduct home visits to Assess new clients or Re-Assess our current clients.  The right person must have knowledge of the needs of elderly, resources in the community, to advocate and able to link different types of services to our clients.  This person must also have an eye for detail by hearing needs without the client saying it and being able to ask the right questions. The right person must also be compassionate, thorough in assessing needs and in providing all types of services.  They must also have verifiable experience working with older adults along with outreach/marketing and excellent communication skills.  Other duties include keeping up with our Caregiving Program and its monthly/quarterly duties, our Housekeeping Program with the same requirements.  Must be able to keep accurate records and monthly reporting on contacts with clients.  Other duties will include communicating and leading our Commodity Program, keeping our Social Media and Website up-to-date. Also, must be able to multitask and be very flexible because other duties will come up on a daily basis. Must have reliable transportation and be computer literate.  Must be able to work closely with our Executive Director, Nutritional Coordinator and Activities Coordinator.
