CARETAKERS: Are you surviving or thriving

Being a caretaker is one of selfless love but it's exhausting and you never get a break! If you're a caretaker in the midst of this Pandemic you're probably even more exhausted. Expect that where you are on this continuum can change. It’s also important to remember that people will react differently to the same situation, and that is ok.

Know that:

  • What you are feeling and experiencing matters

  • It’s likely that many people are feeling similar

  • There are resources—and people—to help you

Coping with Stress, Burnout, and Trauma: How do I do this?

Accept that there are events that you cannot control.

Your body can fight stress better when it is fit & fed.

Reflect on what brings meaning and joy to your life.

Get enough rest and sleep.

Set boundaries.

Be assertive instead of aggressive.
